It’s nearly midnight as I put this post together while watching election coverage, and it’s looking like I won’t be able to give a “woohoo” or a “kill me now” exclamation before I fall asleep. I know Sarah’s Real Life is a style blog, but in real life, Sarah supports Hillary Clinton with every bit of her shrunken heathen lesbian democrat lawyer witch heart. And I don’t care who knows it!

So to distract me from the stress of all these “too early to call” states, I’m just going to talk about this outfit. Last Saturday was a perfectly crisp and sunny fall day, so after fitting in a morning workout and a billing a few hours, I spent the second half of the day with my favorite fellow Nasty Woman walking around Mass Ave, doing a little shopping, and having a cocktail at Black Market. My drink was called “Satan’s Whiskers,” so you know it was good and strong. I might go back for another one once the election is called – hopefully it’s celebratory! If not…well, there’s nothing like good gin to make 4 years go by quickly.

Hillflint sent me this sweater just in time for what I’m told is called “football season.” Apparently football is a sport that many people enjoy. I wouldn’t know – my favorite sport is brunch. I might not like football, but I do like cotton sweaters that let me rep my alma mater in adorable vintage style. (If you didn’t go to Indiana, Hillflint also has sweaters for other, lesser universities like Yale.)

I figured this “sporty” outfit would be perfect for brunching, but in case consuming eggs and mimosas doesn’t count as a sport (a debate for another day), I rode my new bike to the restaurant. I’m just a regular Lance Armstrong, if Lance Armstrong weren’t a big liar, and if he could barely ride a bike in a straight line. Turns out riding a bike is not like riding a bike. I don’t know who came up with that saying, but he was a big liar. It was probably Lance Armstrong.

Anyway, I managed to pedal my way in my cute sweater all the way to brunch like a champ. That’s the great thing about my version of sports – I always win, and there’s usually champagne involved.
