This was what I wore on my last day of Thanksgiving vacation in South Carolina. I’d been holding off on posting this outfit and then I realized why: I’m wearing short sleeves and sunglasses because it was 70 degrees, and now that I’m back in Indiana that just seems unnatural. But in the spirit of Flashback Friday, I’m going to enjoy this memory of warmer days and let you file this away in your mental folder of outfit ideas for next spring.

And if you’re interested in getting felt up by Uncle Sam’s minions, I highly recommend wearing this shirt – which is covered in metal – through security at the airport. I may or may not be speaking from recent experience.

Does anyone else’s office subscribe to the concept of making people donate to charity in order to participate in a jeans day? I can’t decide exactly how I feel about it. Suffice it to say I’m skeptical. It seems silly to pay to wear jeans that you’ve already bought. On the other hand, giving money to charity is generally a good thing. On a third hand, convincing people to give money to charity by bribing them with the ability to wear their own clothing is…weird. And on a fourth hand, none of this really matters because if I don’t agree with the concept then I don’t have to wear jeans.

But I had really been wanting to wear this top again, I thought it would look good with jeans, and what better time of year to give $5 to a food bank? So I went against everything I believe in and gave money to charity. I swear it will never happen again.

And speaking of my generosity, don’t forget to enter the $50 Giveaway to Redbubble! The entry period ends Sunday night.

[Go ahead assume everything is on sale today…]
