I wore this last weekend to see Dreamgirls at Footlite Musicals, a fabulous show that’s conducted by a very talented and beautiful person who also coincidentally shares a home and a wedding anniversary with me. My biased opinion is pretty similar to my unbiased opinion though – the show is SO good! If you’re a Broadway fan and you live in the Indy area, I highly recommend seeing one of the shows this weekend or next (tickets here). OK, shameless spousal promotion endssss…now.

Outfit-wise, I decided to not even try to compete with the glamour of the girls on stage and just went with something that felt like me. Oh, but I did throw on some gold eyeshadow. 😉

Saturdays in the City

duster, neck scarf, casual outfit

The first week back at work after our beach vacation was a little rough. But if we decided to throw it all away and sell beaded jewelry and bongos from a tent on the beach, I would miss our weekends in the city. It would also be a lot harder to pay back my student loans. The point is, last Saturday I got to do some of my favorite things, like visit the grounds of the art museum, go out to eat, see a movie, go shopping, and…last but not least…wear a sweater. It was enough to make me finally unpack!

Looking back at this outfit, I realize that I’m wearing multiple trends at once: long cardigan (a.k.a. duster), neck scarf, crawler earrings. Luckily, I don’t think it comes off like I’m trying too hard, which I’m going to say is thanks to the neutral colors and the overall casual feel (or maybe it was just the remnants of laid back beach Sarah).
