I’m not sure this is what Katy Perry had in mind when she wrote that peacock song, but I am happy to show you my peacock shoes, sans innuendo. 🙂 I’m also happy to point out that I shamelessly matched my purse and sunglasses to my peacock shoes. I’ve gotten way more into matching than I used to be, as long as there’s still something contrasting. And if that something contrasting happens to involve stripes, then I’m proud to wear it. (That was a peacock joke. Please tell me you laughed.)

Have a happy Sunday, everyone! If you follow me on Instagram, you can see all the fun things I’m doing on my Sunday Funday, but you have to maintain a very broad definition of “fun” because there’s probably meal prepping and working from my couch involved.

Saturdays in the City

duster, neck scarf, casual outfit

When: Saturday // Weather: 60s // Real life: walk through the art park, brunch, shopping, movie

The first week back at work after our beach vacation was a little rough. But if we decided to throw it all away and sell beaded jewelry and bongos from a tent on the beach, I would miss our weekends in the city. It would also be a lot harder to pay back my student loans. The point is, last Saturday I got to do some of my favorite things, like visit the grounds of the art museum, go out to eat, see a movie, go shopping, and…last but not least…wear a sweater. It was enough to make me finally unpack!

Looking back at this outfit, I realize that I’m wearing multiple trends at once: long cardigan (a.k.a. duster), neck scarf, crawler earrings. Luckily, I don’t think it comes off like I’m trying too hard, which I’m going to say is thanks to the neutral colors and the overall casual feel (or maybe it was just the remnants of laid back beach Sarah).
