Happy Friday, folks! I’ve found that even when my office hasn’t declared a “jeans Friday,” I still have a little more of a casual approach to office dressing at the end of the week. My favorite thing lately has been to hide a cute little dress under a jacket so I can stay covered but comfy at my desk, and then strip down (oh la la) to go out in the evening. This was last Friday’s outfit – today is actually a jeans day so all bets are off!

I’ve never really had much of a connection with children. Even when I was one, I felt like we didn’t have much in common. I mean, what am I supposed to talk about with a child? “Have you seen latest season of Orange is the New Black?” “Have you tried the latest microbrewery in town?” I’m pretty sure kids these days only discuss the movie Frozen, which I’ve never seen.

But now, I might have to talk to some little girls. Because they might have this same vest. Yes, folks, I got this from the kids’ section. That’s the one thing I have in common with children: we’re the same size. But that’s where the similarities end, because something tells me pre-teen girls aren’t wearing this vest with cap-toe pumps and a bag from Ann Taylor. Once they are, then we’ll talk, and I’ll buy them their first beer.
