20121003-195041.jpgI sent Kristin a picture of this sweater from the dressing room to see what she thought. She said it was “a hip Cosby sweater” and gave me the thumbs up to purchase. And Kristin was not the only person to give me a figurative thumbs up on one or more elements of this outfit. I got compliments from my friends, from other kids in class, and even from a complete stranger at Trader Joe’s.

I don’t mean to sound conceited, but I feel like I look pretty good every day. Well, at least the days I make an effort and leave my apartment. I didn’t really think this outfit was any more fantastic than the outfit I wore yesterday, or the day before that. But for whatever reason, this one was a hit! Oh well, I won’t complain. Instead I shall celebrate like Bill Cosby and have some pudding. What’s that? We don’t have any pudding? OK, Trader Joe’s coffee ice cream it is.

20121002-111326.jpgOh my gosh, you guys. I’m only wearing one print. Can you believe it? And I decided to give the bubble necklace a chance at a comeback. In my extensive perusing of Pinterest and various blogs every day, I went from seeing bubble necklaces everywhere to seeing them nowhere. I’m not really sure what the traditional life cycle of a trend is, but this one seemed to mirror a fruit fly’s.

So now that everyone has apparently forgotten about the bubble necklace, you’re happy to see it again, aren’t you? OK, maybe you still think it’s overdone. But you have to admit: these big, cheery, green bubbles elevate this look at least 3 ticks above lumberjack. Right?
