^^This is me “casually” taking a giant step so I can show off that this is in fact a jumpsuit, not a maxi dress. Why is it that we feel the need to let people know exactly what kind of garment we’re wearing? “I love your dress!” “Thanks – it’s actually a skirt and top.” Or: “I love your hat!” “Thanks – it’s actually an authentic Nigerian gele head scarf.”

I don’t know, but for some reason I find it much more exciting that this is a jumpsuit, so dammit, you’re all gonna know about it. Please compliment me accordingly.

There’s a fine line between being a cat person and being an actual cat. I spent the 4th of July at home on my couch, scowling at the sound of fireworks outside. I think I may be pawing the line.

In more human news, I’ve never been much a camisole girl, but this black silk number from Madewell might have changed my mind. I made it part of my 30×30 remix, which has forced me to wear it 3 times. It goes with everything, and the fact that it’s silk means it gives a little bit of an elegant boost to a basic outfit. Which is nice, because until I become an actual cat, I’m going to need to keep clothing myself.
