Let me tell you, folks. Home ownership is not for chickens. You never know if you’re going to move in to your house, start getting comfortable, and then less than a month later find yourself trying to dry out carpet in the basement and looking at estimates from the plumber who’s going to dig up your front yard and replace your broken sewer pipe. A chicken would not be prepared for this kind of financial stress and headache and would probably just melt down to a pile of frazzled feathers. But not me. I look at the bright side, which is that there will be less grass to mow, and also I have not been abducted by aliens today.
But speaking of chickens, this shirt has little embroidered hens on it, and that is adorable. As is our little old house, which we love very much so it’s totally worth the headache…right? I hope!

OH! I love this top how cute is it?!
It is, in fact, SO cute.
LOVE this shirt. And something bad ALWAYS happens in the first few months of home ownership. I had to get my entire chimney re-built and re-bricked and it was expensive and messy and awful BUT it made me realize that I still loved my house despite the issues I knew I’d have sometimes. Hopefully this helps you feel the same way!!
I think it does. Thanks Bri 🙂
not to worry you but…there will be more issues in the future. I’ve learnt that. It totally is what owning a home is about. I sympathize with your wet basement shortly after moving in (been there done that). Hope all works out!
CUTE outfit as always!
Sorry to hear about your plumbing problems! Get a
De-humidifier! Does a fantastic job of taking moisture out of the air.
We have been house hunting for 2.5 yrs! Glad you found something relatively quickly.
Blech, we had a broken sewer pipe too, and fixed it a few months ago. One of those things you can’t put off for too long. Hope it’s going well and isn’t too yucky! And I love the chickens on your shirt – how deceptively cute 🙂
Great top!
That shirt is so great — I kind of want it, but I kind of wish they looked more like hearts OR chickens (instead of heart-shaped chickens). It looks fantastic on you, though!
Good luck with the home repairs — you have a great attitude about it 🙂
Hahahaha I love this observation. BUT MAYBE I LIKE HEART-SHAPED CHICKENS, OK. 😉
