I’m equal parts excited and embarrassed to announce that this Saturday, I’ll be stepping out from behind my laptop to host a fashion show at my local Macy’s store! The theme is “Destination Spring Fashion,” so all the looks will be inspired by vacation spots around the globe. I have the challenging task of talking about clothes while trying not to sound awkward. But your job is easy: just show up, do some shopping, enjoy a fashion show, a DJ, and maybe a free mini-makeover. Plus, you can apparently enter to win a consultation with a style expert. As far as I know, that won’t be me, but hopefully it’s someone even better.
If you’re in the central Indiana area and you want to come see if I can pull this off, head to the Impulse department in Macy’s at Castleton Square Mall in Indianapolis at 2:00pm Saturday, April 11. If you feel like doing some shopping while you’re there, you should know that any Women’s fashion purchase of $75 or more gets you a personalized Macy’s garment bag (while supplies last).
Not in Indy? No problemo, amigo. There are Destination Spring Fashion shows all over. On the same day and time, there are shows at Macy’s Roosevelt Field (Garden City, NY), Macy’s Pleasanton (Pleasanton, CA), and Macy’s Friendly Center (Greensboro, NC), if you happen to be in any of those areas.
