Confession: I am trying to catch your attention with my recently acquired secondhand Chanel flats (!!) but I have lured you here under false pretenses. What I really want to say/ask is:

HAVE YOU MADE YOUR VOTING PLAN YET?

Here in Indiana, everyone was able to vote by mail for the primaries, but for November’s election, you have to have a special reason to vote by mail. But you can (as always) vote early at various locations. So today I looked up those locations and times, and Kristin and I picked a time to go together next week. I even sent her a calendar invite so we don’t forget!

Please please please if you haven’t already, figure out the options where you live and make a plan to vote early. Even if you live in a place where the presidential race is a foregone conclusion, there are probably state/local races where your vote will make more of a difference. Plus, like I always say, if you don’t vote, you don’t get to complain. 🙂

Last outfit to share from my trip to Michigan! Temps in the 70s were a very welcome change, especially because I wanted an excuse to wear my new cardigan from the Spanish brand babaa that is all the rage with sustainable fashion Instagrammers.

When it comes to “sustainable” and “ethical” clothing brands, there is definitely an accessibility problem. Take babaa sweaters — Not only are they pretty pricey; they only come in one size. But dammit if this is not a beautiful cardigan.

I’m not here to try and convince everyone to drop $200+ on a pile of yarn. I’m just here to share my real-life outfits, and this is one of them. We all have different budgets and different priorities on how we spend our money. Please remember that there are other ways to be a more sustainable/ethical/conscious consumer besides buying from brands that cater to the affluent (like shopping consignment stores, which is how I got this jumpsuit and bag). That said, if you’ve been considering parting with your heard-earned cash in exchange for a fancy sweater, I can definitely recommend this one!
