Just a quickie post today because we got back from Chicago yesterday and I’m exhausted! It was a fun trip and a great way to celebrate my graduation with my family. Oh, did I mention I graduated law school on Saturday? Yeah, that happened.

We stayed at the Palmer House, and can I just say…it’s amazing. The location is awesome (practically across the street from Millennium Park and the Art Institute), it has a really cool history (nerd alert!), it’s beeaauutiful, and it’s actually not as expensive as I just made it sound. Oh, and it doesn’t hurt that the bar in the lobby has some fantastic cocktails. 😉

Point is: I highly recommend the Palmer House next time you’re in Chicago. I’ll tell you more about my trip in a later post!

Check it out…I’m officially halfway done with the Looking Lucky style challenge. This is my #5 out of the 10 trends. In case you’re taking the challenge for a spin and you weren’t sure what “local love” meant, here’s an example. Just show a little pride for your hometown or home state (or your current town/state, if different). Wear something from a local brand or boutique, or even a local jewelry artist or something. If you’re not feeling quite so hipster, just rock a t-shirt with a sports team or college.

For bonus points (which aren’t actually worth anything), wear your “local love” outfit to eat at a local restaurant. I wore this last Sunday to go out for pizza and beer with a bunch of my fellow law review nerds. I’ve been having fun wearing heels on weekends recently…when you think about it, a day when you don’t have much to do is pretty much the perfect day to wear uncomfortable shoes.

Thanks to everyone who’s been joining in on the challenge this month and sharing your looks on Instagram! Remember there are multiple giveaways in conjunction with this challenge, so you’re definitely gonna want to jump on this bandwagon!
