Happy Halloween, everyone! I don’t have a costume this year, but don’t fret. I’m going to a late-night performance of The Rocky Horror Show – and is there anything more Halloweeny than that? For adults, anyway? I doubt it.

I actually already went once last week (when I wore the above cheetah+leopard+leather outfit, which was tame compared to most of the audience members’ ensembles), and tonight I’m going back for more. OK, I should probably mention that my other half happens to be a cast member in this particular show, but I swear it’s not my bias talking when I say it is EPICALLY entertaining for Rocky virgins and veterans alike. Seriously, if you’re in Indianapolis this weekend, do yourself a favor and see one of the remaining 4 shows: 7:30 & 10:30 on Friday, and 7:30 & 10:30 on Saturday. But Not a Real Green Dress, That’s Cruel

Well folks…it’s the big debut! I raved about this dress in my February budget post, and now you can probably see why I love it. It’s totally comfortable, fits me like a glove, and has a perfectly classy but fun shape. The pictures don’t even do it justice – it’s a nice sturdy ponte-ish material so I’m optimistic that it will last me many wears. And it better, because I already have at least 2 spring outfits planned in my head. How great will this color look with leopard print, right? OH! And pockets! Who doesn’t love a dress with pockets?! Do I put anything in the pockets? Of course not. But I like knowing they’re there.

The dress also comes in cobalt blue and in gray/black colorblock. It probably wouldn’t hurt to keep my eye on the clearance rack later in the season. Just in case.

Surprisingly, Madewell did not pay me to write this post. But they probably should. I accept wire transfers, Madewell. Call me.
