On Saturday, we went to our friends’ kid’s birthday party. She turned 6. Or 8. Or 2. I really don’t know the difference. I just know there were a lot of small people running around me, and I might have added a little something to my Diet Coke. (Hint: it starts with “v” and ends with “odka.”)

I thought it would be a good idea to balance out the day by also hitting up the art museum. Turns out it was family day. Sometimes you just can’t win. It wasn’t that bad, though. Most of the special activities were concentrated in one certain area, so we could look at the O’Keefes in peace. There’s also a contemporary design gallery that apparently expanded at some point recently and I had no idea! If you live in the Indianapolis area and haven’t been to the IMA in a while, you totally have to go. I mean how often do you get to see a chair that looks like a broom and a vase that looks like a certain part of the male anatomy all in one place? For me, it’s probably less often than I go to children’s birthday parties. I should really work on changing that.

Last Thursday this skirt I ordered from Loft came in, just in time for me to wear it to work Friday for Go Red Day. I don’t generally make a point to “celebrate” Go Red Day, but the timing was just too good. Once I had the skirt, the rest of this outfit fell together pretty quickly, and I just loved it. Funny enough, the day I wore this outfit was the same day I vented on the blog about how I’m proud of not being perfect. Not gonna lie, I felt pretty much perfect in this and I didn’t hate the feeling.

Speaking of last Friday’s post, you guys are all WAY TOO NICE to me. Seriously, you’re the best. From now on when I’m feeling down, I’m just going to tell you that someone said something mean about me and then let you pump my ego back up. I feel like I should do a quick followup to my “Not Perfect” post though, because I’m afraid I gave off the impression that “Regina” was being horrible and rude, and that’s really not the case. The context of her comment was that she LIKES my blog and was recommending it to other people. It’s just that I’m human and it’s hard to ignore the criticism even if it’s sandwiched between two compliments. So there’s no reason to beat up on Regina. She brought traffic to my blog and gave me something to write about.

OK, so back to today’s prompt, which is: how perfect is this outfit?!
