Smells like Team Spirit

In case you didn’t already know, I am a proud graduate of Indiana University, the greatest school in the universe, located in Bloomington, the greatest college town in the universe. There are enough IU alums and fans in Indianapolis to make me feel at home, but there’s still something special about going back to visit my alma mater. I’m sure those of you who went to a great, though inferior, college feel the same way.

I went to Bloomington on Saturday to visit friends and watch [one of] the greatest college basketball team[s] kick some Gopher butt! If you’re a Minnesota fan, I hope this doesn’t affect our friendship.

We didn’t actually go to the game, just watched with other energetic fans at a bar. I decided to walk the line between my usual weekend style and showing some team spirit. Here’s how it turned out!

I hope you all had a great weekend, and if you haven’t seen it already, be sure to check out the giveaway that I just posted yesterday!

20121022-204515.jpgThis polo-and-jean-skirt combo made me feel a little bit like I was wearing a school uniform. But since I wore it to school…it’s OK, right? As uniforms go, this wouldn’t be so bad. The shirt is super comfortable, and the skirt has a cute shape. Plus, who doesn’t love a little bow accent? But if I had to wear the same thing everyday – and not to be dramatic or anything – I would probably jump off a cliff. No uniforms was one of many good things about going to public school. And by “many” I mean probably like 3. Ideally, I would have gone to that high school that they went to in Gossip Girl, where they had a uniform, but, from what I gathered, you were A-OK as long as you were wearing at least one square foot of plaid.
