I’m guessing most people who got dressed up last weekend did so for a date on Valentine’s Day. Meh. Not my style. Friday nights are for vegging out and watching Netflix, and that is exactly what I did.

BUT I did put on a new dress on Saturday night, went to see my Valentine-for-Life perform in a cabaret, and hung out with big group of my ridiculous friends where I laughed so hard I nearly peed in said new dress (don’t worry…I didn’t). Not to get all mushy, but I don’t see the point in celebrating Valentine’s Day when I have so many fabulous people around me every day of the year. I do, however, see the point in getting chocolate for Valentine’s Day because chocolate is never not a good idea.

These boots are my new lifesaver. Or legsaver I guess. I’ve been wearing jeans A LOT recently just because it’s so cold that I can’t bear to expose my legs (even with tights) to the elements. But at a certain point I just get tired of jeans. And by “I get tired of jeans,” I mean “all my jeans are in the ginormous pile of laundry in the corner of my bedroom.” Then I realized that my over-the-knee boots give me an extra 4 inches or so of coverage compared to regular old knee-high boots. It makes a big difference, lemme tell you. Plus I wear tall socks for an extra layer. So that leaves just a couple inches of thigh out in the cold. I’m not a doctor but I’m thinking [even my] thighs have more insulation than the lower half of the leg…amiright, ladies?
