Voila! – my first shirtdress. I feel this is a good time to start an important philosophical discussion: why is a shirtdress called a shirtdress? Doesn’t every dress have some kind of shirt attached to it? Otherwise it would be a skirt.
Deep stuff, I know. Who knew a simple piece of clothing could be so existential?

This is the softest shirt ever. So soft, in fact, that I worry it’s on the verge of just falling apart. I’ve had it several years but I’ve probably worn it less than 10 times. I’m trying to preserve it as long as possible, so I save up for one or two wears a year.
I realized the other day that summer was coming to an end and I still hadn’t worn the magically soft tee! So I busted it out and paired it with my recent fall-ready purchase: these fringed ankle boots. If you’re feeling sad about the end of summer, I recommend buying new boots. It gives you a reason to be excited about cooler weather. Or you could go ahead and wear them now even when it’s 80 degrees out. With your super soft summer tee. Best of both worlds!
