Voila! – my first shirtdress. I feel this is a good time to start an important philosophical discussion: why is a shirtdress called a shirtdress? Doesn’t every dress have some kind of shirt attached to it? Otherwise it would be a skirt.
Deep stuff, I know. Who knew a simple piece of clothing could be so existential?

I SO want shirt dresses to make a comeback. As for the name, I assume it’s because they are basically a man’s shirt, longer and with a belt. You raise a good question though.

I love shirtdresses! I used to have a very cute black one but it completely shrunk in the wash, which bums me out. I haven’t been able to find a suitable replacement yet. Yours is lovely! I really like your hair today as well 🙂
