I wore this last weekend to a baby shower, and I’ve got to be honest: the appeal of having baby showers is lost on me, just as is the appeal of having actual babies. So if I go to your baby shower, you should feel very honored, because it means my positive feelings for you outweigh my negative feelings for gushing over tiny shoes. (Unless the shoes come in a women’s 7 1/2, I’m just not interested.)

That said, I was happy to sprinkle a little love on one of my best friends who is bringing twins into the world in a few months! She will be a great parent, and especially with two chances, I’m sure at least one of those kids will turn into a productive member of society. Plus, if she’s having 2, that means I’m off the hook for any obligation to continue the species.

Well, here we are. My extremely drawn-out Paris vacation recap has come to an end. Friday morning we had time for one last breakfast and a stroll through Montmartre before heading to the airport. We went to Café des Deux Moulins, the café from the movie Amélie, purely because it’s the café from the movie Amélie. The food isn’t anything special but it is pretty darn charming. In other words, it is your quintessential Paris café. 🙂

When I said going to Paris was my number one life goal, it was no joke. And it was everything I dreamed of and more. Thanks for letting me blab on and on about it and post a million pictures on Instagram, because I know I will love looking back at all this content some day (like probably next week) and remembering those 6 days in April 2018 where my feet and back were in immense pain but I didn’t care because I felt like I was finally home.

I was wrong about one thing though: I figured once I went to Paris, my life would be complete and I could die happy (preferably in a few decades). But no! Now that I’ve been, I want to go back! How could I die having only been to Paris once?! And now that I’ve seen what else is out there in the world, I want to go more places. The Napa Valley. Italy. Anywhere with wine and/or cheese, really. Wisconsin.

Anyway, thanks for joining me on my little travel journey. Hope you enjoyed! See the rest of the Paris recaps here: {Day 1} {Day 2} {Day 3} {Day 4} {Day 5} {Day 6}
