I bought this jacket at a little shop in Sonoma, CA. I could have bought it online, or a million other places. But this way, I got to justify it as supporting a woman-owned business.

Well, I don’t know for sure that it was a woman-owned business. But there was a woman working there, and she had an air of authority. And who am I to turn down a classic piece of transitional outerwear from a fellow lady boss? Also, vacation shopping doesn’t count.

I don’t know about you, but I love the days leading up to the super bowl. There’s so much to watch, and I can’t wait to see who’s in the running. Not to mention the fashion.

Oh, in my world, “super bowl” means “the Oscars.” Was that not clear?

I tend to spend the cold winter months watching movies so I can be properly informed during awards season. I saw The Green Book on Christmas Eve (it got rave reviews even from my dad), and a few days later saw The Favourite with Kristin. Have you ever watched a British period piece and thought to yourself “I just wished they used the C word more”? Well, then The Favourite is for you.

Oscar noms are announced Tuesday morning, and that starts the countdown for me to see as many nominated films as I can! TOUCHDOWN. FIELD GOAL. ETCETERA.
