20121003-195041.jpgI sent Kristin a picture of this sweater from the dressing room to see what she thought. She said it was “a hip Cosby sweater” and gave me the thumbs up to purchase. And Kristin was not the only person to give me a figurative thumbs up on one or more elements of this outfit. I got compliments from my friends, from other kids in class, and even from a complete stranger at Trader Joe’s.

I don’t mean to sound conceited, but I feel like I look pretty good every day. Well, at least the days I make an effort and leave my apartment. I didn’t really think this outfit was any more fantastic than the outfit I wore yesterday, or the day before that. But for whatever reason, this one was a hit! Oh well, I won’t complain. Instead I shall celebrate like Bill Cosby and have some pudding. What’s that? We don’t have any pudding? OK, Trader Joe’s coffee ice cream it is.

20120927-093650.jpgThis fall, I’m trying to get a little more creative with layering, going beyond the usual cardigan over t-shirt recipe. Yesterday I decided to take my own advice on using Pinterest, and I found this pin, featuring a long-sleeved printed blouse with a 3/4-sleeve cardigan over it. I liked how the  print peeked out from under the cardigan. And that’s how this school day outfit was born!
