I’m really digging the weather we’ve had the past few days. It still feels like summer, but it’s been cooler and less humid. It’s like fall’s on the other side of a locked sliding glass door, waving and yelling “hey! let me in!” and I’m like “how about I open this just a crack?” I think it’s a good compromise for now. I’ve got some more summering to do (like a wine festival and an outdoor concert this weekend, and a beach vacation next month), but I also enjoy not sweating within 7 seconds of walking outside.

So here’s to Augustember, a name for the pre-fall season that I just made up. Wondering what to wear for Augustember? I personally recommend a long sleeve maxi dress with flat sandals. When actual fall comes around, keep the dress and stow the sandals!

Most bloggers would skip Christmas Day, but I’m so backed up on outfits to share, I figured why not? Wait. Let me start again…

Most bloggers would skip Christmas Day, but I love my dear readers so much that I didn’t want to risk anyone stopping by today and not having anything new to read. You’re welcome, Jews.

Seriously, though. I really do appreciate you all. Whether you comment regularly or just stop by quietly to see what I’ve been up to. I know you’re here because my blog stats tell me so. I wouldn’t have much reason to keep doing this if it weren’t for you. Although I don’t know most of you personally, I do know you probably have a good sense of humor and you have great taste in blogs, so I like to think we’re friends. I hope you all have a truly lovely holiday.

Love and shoes,

Sarah

P.S. The photos above were taken in our living room just after our Christmas party last weekend. I feel weird wearing heels in my own apartment, hence the flats. Oh, and if you want to look like a fancy hostess without trying, just drop frozen cranberries in champagne. Boom.
