So here’s something curious. You’d think that blogging would make me feel this pressure to always wear something new. In fact, I never used to repeat an outfit, until I started blogging. Granted, it still doesn’t happen often, but it does happen, and what you’re seeing here is an outfit I wore two weekends in a row.

Back when Sarah’s real life was just my life and not the name of your very favorite blog, I never repeated an outfit. Individual pieces, sure, but not a whole outfit. It didn’t matter that no one else would notice and that there was no documented photo evidence of everything I wore – I would know.

But now that I take pictures of the vast majority of outfits I wear, whenever I don’t get a chance to take pictures, in my mind it’s like I never wore it, so I might as well wear it again so I can take pictures. It’s hard to say which of my outlooks is more insane, so let’s call it a tie.

Also, yes. I know my sweatshirt says “aumtomne” and yes, I know it is currently winter. I was hoping my jacket would obscure the text and make me seem mysterious. It didn’t work. I’m really striking out today.

Indianapolis is called the “Circle City” because we have a big monument in the middle of downtown, and there’s a traffic circle that goes around it. I know we’re not the only place that has circles around symbolic structures, but we’re still claiming the nickname. My new gig is barely a block away from Monument Circle, and one day last week it was unseasonably warm so I picked up lunch and sat on the steps of the monument to eat. It was pretty much the real-life, Indianapolis version of Blair Waldorf sitting on the steps of the Met (Gossip Girl fans, anyone?).

Technically, these photos were taken after work, not at lunch. To get a mental image of what I looked like at lunch, just imagine my shoes on the ground next to me and me shoveling Chipotle guacamole into my face. So sexy, I know.
