Yesterday as part of my internship, I got to walk over to the federal courthouse to meet the bankruptcy court’s staff attorney. I’m kind of a big deal. So since I was meeting important people, I had to make like Barney Stinson and suit up.
At one point shortly after I started law school, it crossed my mind that I might be faced with a life of wearing suits and I wasn’t too excited about it. But I gotta say…now that I have a suit, I kind of like it. I still don’t think I would like to wear one every day, but once in a while it’s OK. It makes me feel powerful. In fact, I was mistaken for an attorney yesterday. SUCCESS!

Welcome to the first installment of a feature I am very uncreatively calling “Double Duty.” Sometimes when I get home from work and then I have to go out and do something else (errands, dinner, or in today’s case, volunteering), I want to change into something more comfy but without starting from scratch.
