Did anyone notice anything funny about my outfit posts this past week? Like maybe that all five of them involved polka dots? No, it was not planned. I just have a problem. I might have to start setting myself a monthly polka dot allowance so this doesn’t get out of control. But I can’t help myself…this pattern is just so easy to spot in stores. God, I’m hilarious.

I’m going to try to pace myself this season with polka dot purchases, but I already have my eye on a few adorably polka dotted things. Here are some dots I’d love to add to my collection for spring. What should be my first purchase?

She’ll Be Comin’ Round the Mountain

I felt like a mountain climber in this outfit. I mean, I’ve never climbed a mountain before, but I imagine this is a typical outfit for that activity. I’ve got the flat boots for handling rugged terrain. I’ve got jeans, because that’s what you wear for doing things outside. I’ve got a puffer vest, which is practical for when it gets cold at night. I’ve got a ponytail to keep my hair out of my face and to swat away bugs.

Finally, I’ve got a bright blue polka dot cardigan. That’s the most important part of my mountain climbing outfit because I’m sure to get lost, at which point I can call for help and tell the helicopter pilot to look for the girl in the bright blue polka dot cardigan.

Or I could just not go mountain climbing because I have no idea what I’m talking about. Yeah, let’s go with that.
