Can you wear lace up flats with contrasting tights? Well you can, obviously. But should you? Is it weird? I couldn’t decide but I gave it a try and I’m still undecided. It doesn’t look as good as I thought it would in my head, but I don’t think it looks bad either. I think it’s one of those things that would look fine on a supermodel but kind of “meh” on anyone else.
I posted a shot of my feet on Instagram the day I wore this and asked “yay or nay?” No one said either, but someone did correct my use of “yay” instead of “yea.” I answered that person that “yay or nay” still makes sense because you could answer “YAY! I love it!” but they didn’t answer. Then I looked at their Twitter feed and the whole thing was correcting different people on “yea or nay.” I mean, I might be making questionable footwear choices, but at least I have a little more purpose in life than whoever spends hours scouring the Internet for people misusing an archaic word.
