Last month, we celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary. As you other long-term relationship folks know, after awhile you have to make a little effort to keep things fresh and exciting. So this year we wore sexy disguises and role-played that there was a worldwide plague that we had to protect each other from at all costs.

Please excuse the super lame pun in the title, but it’s worth it for this flawless segue from showing you this outfit to telling about my recently rediscovered love for READING!

I used to like to read for fun, and I don’t know exactly when or why I fell off the wagon, but for the past several years I’ve only read for pleasure on vacation. And even then, I would often start a book and then never finish it. I’ll blame a combo of law school and streaming services for stealing all of my time and attention.

But like a lot of us, I decided to use quarantine as an excuse to revisit an old hobby. It started out slow, just reading a chapter or two in bed to wind down, and now I’m knocking out books like it’s my part-time job.

If you want to check out the books I’ve read so far, I’ve collected them all in a list on Bookshop.org. If you haven’t heard of this website, it’s pretty cool – you can order whatever books you want, and a portion of the profits go to a local bookstore that you can pick yourself.
