Hillflint sent me this sweater just in time for what I’m told is called “football season.” Apparently football is a sport that many people enjoy. I wouldn’t know – my favorite sport is brunch. I might not like football, but I do like cotton sweaters that let me rep my alma mater in adorable vintage style. (If you didn’t go to Indiana, Hillflint also has sweaters for other, lesser universities like Yale.)

I figured this “sporty” outfit would be perfect for brunching, but in case consuming eggs and mimosas doesn’t count as a sport (a debate for another day), I rode my new bike to the restaurant. I’m just a regular Lance Armstrong, if Lance Armstrong weren’t a big liar, and if he could barely ride a bike in a straight line. Turns out riding a bike is not like riding a bike. I don’t know who came up with that saying, but he was a big liar. It was probably Lance Armstrong.

Anyway, I managed to pedal my way in my cute sweater all the way to brunch like a champ. That’s the great thing about my version of sports – I always win, and there’s usually champagne involved.

Frocktober #5-8

Don’t be fooled by my recent jeans outfit posts – Frocktober is still in full swing, I just haven’t been able to do photo shoots for all of my dress-centric looks. Here are a few other ways I’ve rocked my frocks (too much? sorry…) over the past few weeks…

print shift dress, platform Mary JanesDress // Shoes (on sale)

OK, so technically I wore this outfit in late September, but I feel it’s in the spirit of Frocktober. And this is my blog so I’ll do what I want. It was pretty warm when I wore this dress, but I think it’ll look great with my black over-the-knee boots soon.

I’ll have you know I wore this outfit to go out to a bar on Saturday night. And I don’t just mean cocktails until 9pm. I was out past midnight. Who am I? It won’t happen again, I promise.

I’m a big fan of lightweight turtlenecks for layering this time of year. This is my fourth one from J.Crew – they’re super cheap if you can catch them on sale!

stripe shirt dress with leather beltDress (on sale) // Belt // similar Shoes

You might think there are only so many ways to wear a dress, but I have fun plans for this shirtdress for even more Frocktober fun. Who knows…it may even spill in to November. MADNESS.

J.Crew cap toe Gemma flats

OK, FINE. This one isn’t Frocktober-themed. I’m just really excited about my new shoes.

Happy weekend!
