It’s officially summer, it’s hot as the devil’s butt crack, so naturally I’m sharing this long-sleeve, long-pants, sweater look with you. I’m nothing if not timely and relevant.

This was a few weeks ago when we went to our local farmer’s market (where I wore a mask, not pictured) on a mild Saturday morning. Warm-weather sweaters are actually one of my favorite things about Indiana, compared to North Carolina where I grew up. I might not wear a lot of sweaters between May and August, but there are always a few occasions where a cold front comes through and I need something a little cozy in the morning or evening. And I love it. Bring on the cotton sweaters and cardigans. I will take a slight chill over a 95 degree heat index any day.

I’m assuming at least a few of you feel the same way, and maybe you live in somewhat moderate climates, so this post might actually be somewhat timely and relevant after all. Nailed it.

  1. Totally relevant. The UK has just had its summer (i.e. 3 days of high humidity and no sleep) and now we’re back to wind, drizzle and 18 degrees (centigrade, not fahrenheit – even our summer isn’t sub-polar). The cotton jumpers are defintely back out and I’m loving it too.
