How could I possibly have been married for seven years already?! I mean, what have I even done since July 2011? Let’s see…I went to law school, graduated law school, studied for the bar exam, passed the bar exam, got a job, bought a house, took a few vacations, got back in shape, learned to cook, voted in 2 presidential elections, and…yep. I guess it has been seven years.

This was the first year we decided to skip anniversary gifts and save our money for another big trip — San Francisco and Napa Valley next March! That’s not to say we didn’t celebrate day-of, though. After work, we went out for Italian and stuffed our faces (in the classiest way possible) with gnocchi. I wore this outfit all day – I thought it was put-together enough for work, but also fun for a date night. Now I just have 7 months to plan all my wine-tasting outfits.

  1. Congratulations on your anniversary! For your trip out west, consider Sonoma instead of Napa. There are HUNDREDS of wineries – from Healdsburg, you can practically take any road and stop at tasting rooms along the way. The Russian River Valley is especially good. And if you go to downtown Healdsburg, you can walk to tasting rooms around the town square and have a lot of great restaurants. (Hi, I’m the rando that met you in the tasting room at Oliver Winery last summer. I live in Northern California and might have visited a few wineries!)

    1. Thanks Kim! We’ve been looking at both! It may just come down to what hotel we want to stay at. Looking for something with a spa and other cool perks, but without being insanely expensive. Let me know if you have any recommendations!
