The Indianapolis Museum of Art is doing an orchid exhibition right now! Orchids are my favorite flower of all time, so it was a non-negotiable weekend excursion for this girl. The greenhouse is filled with all different species and colors. I mean, the orchids they sell at Trader Joe’s are pretty and all, but they only get prettier from there.
It was a great idea to do this climate-controlled floral exhibition in February-March because it’s normally frigid here this time of year. Ironically, it actually felt like real spring the last few weekends. So not only did I get to look at pretty pink flowers inside, but I got to wear pretty pink floral flats* and walk around comfortably outside afterwards. Livin’ the dream over here.
For those of you in the Indy area, I highly recommend the Color Me Orchid exhibition! But it ends this weekend, so prance you little petals on over there soon. If you can’t make it, here are a few more gratuitous orchid photos for your enjoyment.
