Heads up: This post was sponsored by Dryel.
Unless you only started reading my blog in the past couple months, you know how much I love coats. Pretty outerwear is the only reason I attempt to put up with the cold winters here in Indianapolis (that and the good restaurants and impossibly low cost of living). I usually lose patience sometime in February, but for 2-3 months I can distract myself by purchasing new cozy things to wear.
But I have a confession. Most of my coats…I have never had cleaned. First of all, dry cleaning is expensive. Second of all, I never think of it until it actually gets cold, and then I’m too busy wearing my coats to clean them.
But this year, I’ve turned over a new leaf (autumnal pun intended). As a brand ambassador for Dryel, I already have my at-home dry cleaning supplies, and as a new homeowner, I actually have easy access to a dryer. This week we’re having warmer than average weather, so I’m going to take 20 minutes each evening to grab a couple coats from my collection and toss them in my Dryel bag. I started today with the two coats pictured above!
With as much as I wear my peacoat, it’s really about time I freshened it up. I know, I’m a totally disgusting human being. But at least I’m a well-dressed disgusting human being. And I’ll get a little less disgusting each day that I clean up the contents of my coat closet.
If you haven’t used Dryel before, here’s my plug (yes, it’s sponsored, but I’m nothing if not brutally honest): It’s a great way to clean and freshen dry-clean-only clothes, and it’s way cheaper and more convenient than traditional dry cleaning. If you’re a fan of winter wear like I am, I definitely recommend trying out a kit. The starter box is only $6.99. And do it quickly, before it’s too late and you become a dirty slob like me…well, like the old me!
Looking at all these old outfits is making me the tiniest bit excited for winter. Just the tiniest of bits.
Oh my! These are all SO dreamy!
I recently scored a couple of thrifted coats that were gold!
I feel like forever 21 is an excellent place to find unique ones like some you have here.
GREAT now I want to go out and buy all the coats! haha
You just convinced me to follow suit (coat?). There’s a pun in there somewhere. Looking for a Dryel starter kit online right now!
Very punny 🙂 Happy cleaning!
