Guys, I’m in a pretty good mood right now. Maybe it’s my new hat, or because I’m watching another hilarious episode of Scream Queens, or because my favorite Greek yogurt was on sale at Target. I don’t know, but I’m a happy little white girl right now. This is the point where a lot of people would make the observation “it’s the little things” and then probably use a string of nonsensical emojis. But I will not say “it’s the little things” because that phrase drives me crazy. First of all, it’s really not a complete thought. Second, it’s a terribly overused cliché. Third, of course little things make you happy. They make everyone happy. If only big things like beach vacations and surprise parties and big promotions made people happy, everyone would be depressed most of the time. So the complete thought should be “it’s the little things…that keep people from jumping off bridges.” Duh.

There, now I’ve worked myself back into my usual state of unnecessary annoyance at other people’s habits. I’m going to go have a Greek yogurt to cheer myself up.

  1. Cute hat! I miss Autumn – not much of a season change in SoFl. My most hated phrase or word is when people use the word “Delicious” to describe things or people. It’s for describing FOOD, get it!

    1. Interesting. That doesn’t really bother me, although I don’t personally use “delicious” to describe non-food things. So I guess we can still be friends?

  2. I’ve been on the look out for a good pair of jeans that are distressed at the knees like yours! I swear overtime I try to “distress” them myself it just looks like the mean girls shirt cut outs!
