Here’s what I’ve learned recently: it seems like a great idea to move during the summer, because the other option is to move when it’s deathly cold, and that doesn’t seem appealing. But…BUT! Moving during June/July/August (especially moving to a house) means you’re going to miss out on some summer weekend fun when you’re busy organizing and painting and fixing and otherwise adulting.

We’re trying to subscribe to the work hard, play hard plan as much as possible lately because the last summer of my 20s will be over before  you know it (technically, my 20s will be over in 2 days), and then I’ll have the rest of my sad, old, grownup life to be responsible. Or not…we’ll see.

So over the weekend I did a respectable amount of responsible adulting, but I also did some summering. A highlight: I went to see a Beatles cover band rock Conner Prairie, and I ingested plenty of carbs and booze along the way. And I wore a romper and a ridiculous hat. The sun came out for 5 minutes so it was totally appropriate.

I know it’s only Tuesday, but whether you’re 19 or 69, I hereby command you to make some fun plans for this weekend. Not to be morbid, but you could totally be hit by a train next Monday. Guts strewn all over the tracks. I hope that doesn’t happen to you, but just in case…live it up a little.
