Have you seen those new H&M commercials that say “Summer Stars Now”? The obnoxious nitpicker in me wants to respond, “actually, the summer solstice occurs on June 21.” *pushes glasses up bridge of nose* But I guess there are other ways to measure the beginning of summer. If you’re a kid (or a teacher), summer starts at 3:30 on the last day of school. A lot of people consider Memorial Day the unofficial start of summer. Maybe summer starts on the first 80-degree day, or the first time you eat ice cream outside. The new rule is: there is no rule. Summer starts when you want it to start.
For me, I think summer started this week. It’s been near 80 for multiple days in a row, and I’ve recently added new floral prints and bright colors to my closet, including this super happy almost-red coral blouse from…guess where? H&M of course. 🙂

Such a cute outfit. I love that color paired with those pants.
I’m jealous your weather is that warm! I haven’t felt 80 degrees since last November. I forget what being that warm feels like! I’d give anything to wear shorts and tanks for the next few months. I’d say summer starts once the weather is consistantly warm.
Which for me started today!!
