These boots are my new lifesaver. Or legsaver I guess. I’ve been wearing jeans A LOT recently just because it’s so cold that I can’t bear to expose my legs (even with tights) to the elements. But at a certain point I just get tired of jeans. And by “I get tired of jeans,” I mean “all my jeans are in the ginormous pile of laundry in the corner of my bedroom.” Then I realized that my over-the-knee boots give me an extra 4 inches or so of coverage compared to regular old knee-high boots. It makes a big difference, lemme tell you. Plus I wear tall socks for an extra layer. So that leaves just a couple inches of thigh out in the cold. I’m not a doctor but I’m thinking [even my] thighs have more insulation than the lower half of the leg…amiright, ladies?

P.S. Just discovered that these boots also come in beige…and they’re on sale. Very tempting, indeed…

Hi babe!
Just to tell you that I’ve nominated you for the Shine On Award! You can see it here: http://mimosasandfashion.wordpress.com/2014/02/12/shine-on-award%E2%80%8F/
Hope you like it!
xx
love the pattern combo of your skirt & sweater!
I’m both sad and happy that DSW is out of my boot size – sad because they are awesome, obviously, but happy because I completely would have bought them and that would not have been in the budget plan… Plus that sweater is awesome!
And I’ve already found the boot for a similar price on another site – decisions, decisions….
Haha yes, they are also at Macy’s!!! I found mine at Nordstrom Rack for even cheaper, but they’re not online. Not to be a bad influence but…you should totally get them.
How do you make sure that the thigh high boots look classy? You’ve done an excellent job with that, do you have a trick?
Well I purposefully looked for ones that don’t have a heel. I think flat boots are inherently less “Pretty Woman” if you know what I mean. Other than that, I think it’s just that I tend to dress on the modest side. When you’re not trying to overtly “show off” your body, I think wearing over-the-knee boots just adds an appropriate dash of sexy while still being classy.
Excellent question 🙂
love this look, I’m also tempted to get me a pair of those boots.. Although in FL the weather is hardly boot appropriate, they are so damn cute!

Well I guess in FL you wouldn’t have to worry about tights! Maybe on a “chilly” day under 65 degrees you could wear boots like these with a cute dress?
Great boots, and I love your sweater as well!
