I bought this dress a few weeks ago and hadn’t gotten around to wearing it until yesterday. It’s cute and quite flattering on its own, but I wanted to wear it to work with some kind of jacket or cardigan over it. Well. After staying up until midnight watching women’s gymnastics (yay USA! but sorry Russia…those girls looked so sad), I was sleepy and running late on Wednesday morning. I had grand plans to find something unique to pair with this dress, but I had approximately negative 7 mintues to figure it out, and I think the time crunch messed with my head. I didn’t like anything I tried on, so I fell back on my trusty white cardigan. The same thing happened with accessories…so I ended up with simple silver earrings and necklace, and my new white Anne Klein watch.
I was kinda meh about this outfit and disappointed with myself in the morning, but as the day went on, it kinda grew on me. I mean it might not be the greatest thing I’ve ever worn, but I can’t be awesome every day – OK, who am I kidding; I totally can.
So here’s the question: Do you keep changing until your outfit is perfect, no matter how late it makes you? Or do you come to your senses, tell yourself to stop being ridiculously vain, and get the hell out of the house?

Well, unfortulately, my work attire is: the same workout shirt in various colors, and the same type of black pants. EVERYyyy. Dayy. That never makes me late. But, it’s why I love to dress up so much otherwise. Personal Trainer clothes are as boring as they come. Your outfit is a lot cuter than my current one, you can rest assured! lol. I love those shoes!
P.S. I see where you’re coming from on the cats thing… believe it or not.. my dogs act more like cats in that way. I get along better with dogs who don’t fall all over me, too. 😉
Ha ha, if I stayed at home until my outfits were absolutely perfect, I would definitely be late to work nearly every day. It’s funny, sometimes I’ll just throw an easy cardigan on in the morning, but when I get home, I’ll take 15 minutes playing dress up to find the perfect outfit so I have something to wear next time. Don’t worry, you look FABULOUS! Sometimes it’s all in how you carry yourself, with confidence, that makes an outfit!

So true, Jenny! I think hiking myself up in these heels made me walk a little sassily and then I felt like I looked pretty good.

I adore the print of that dress!
And yes, I’ve been known to leave late because I’ve been fiddling with my outfit. I just have to leave myself more time for outfit assembly in the mornings now!
I work at the hopsital and usually wear scrubs, but I try to wear cute buisness casual outfits as much as possible. However, I always find that the days I am running late on time are the days I decide I want to put together something cute. Which inevitably takes me more time as I try on every top I own to get it just right! Fiddling is just too much fun, and who wants to get to work on time anyways?!?!
