Thursday was one of those study-at-Starbucks-then-drink-margaritas-and-do-laundry days, and this is what I wore. Oh, do other people not have those kinds of days? How unfortunate. Unfortunate for whom? I’m not sure. But I am sure that it was dark by the time I got home, hence the romantic lighting.

But you know what happens when I take photos indoors? I get visitors…

20121107-180713.jpgThe time change and shortened days are really confusing me and messing with my photo-taking time! Now I end up staring at my own shadow on the wall. I really want to make up an imaginary conversation between me and my shadow, but (a) I am not Peter Pan, and (b) it’s late and I don’t feel like being clever.

Instead, I’ll tell you a trick that probably everyone else already knew except me: To keep my jeans from riding up when I slid on these boots, I put snug-fitting socks over my jeans first. It’s like I can see clearly for the first time…with my feet.

Sweater: Macy’s, old (closest thing I could find but cute!)

Jeans: Madewell

Boots: Steve Madden, old (similar here and here)
