January doesn’t seem to get much love. (Poor January…it’s not your fault.) But it’s the month in which I spend a lot of time at the movies getting myself properly informed for awards season, so I don’t really mind the post-holiday slump and gloomy weather. OK, I do mind it, but movies and fluffy coats help distract me.

This year I’ve seen 5 of the 9 best picture Oscar nominees (and hopefully I’ll have a spare 12 hours to watch The Irishman this weekend). So far Little Women is my favorite, but Ford v Ferrari was surprisingly deep for a movie about cars. Who else is excited for the “real” Super Bowl Sunday?! 😉

I’m not usually in to the body-con dresses, but I make an exception for the goddess of wrap dresses, Diane von Furstenberg. Thanks to my newfound obsession with designer consignment (lookin’ at you, The RealReal), I got this dress for $40. (Insert raise the roof emoji.)

If you’re looking to dip your toes in the online consignment pond but you’re skeptical of whether the shit you’re buying is going to be what you expect, I recommend The RealReal. I’ve ordered from them 4 times (in less than 2 months but who’s counting) and have been extremely pleased overall. I only wish they did free shipping and returns! But, it just means you have to be more careful with what you decide to buy, which really is something we should all be working on anyway.
