I was in the South with the in-laws for Thanksgiving, and I escaped my acquired family for one day to visit my sister Kathryn in Asheville. We’re not really gab on the phone for hours a week sisters. We’re more like have a beer and make fun of each other once a year sisters. I like our way better.

We had an awesome boozy brunch at Biscuit Head, then walked all over downtown checking out the shops. Naturally, we were tired after that and had to sit down and drink again. Then Kathryn photobombed me as only an annoying little sister can do:

By the way, how great are these boots?! I love them. Of course, in true sibling fashion, Kathryn asked me if I was going to ride horses later. MAYBE I AM, BITCH. (Love you, sis.)

Slouchy beanies aren’t really the type of hat I normally buy myself, but every once in a while I’m getting dressed and realize that’s exactly what I need to complete my outfit. Luckily, my other half happens to have quite the collection of beanies. I can go into pretty much any room of our apartment and find a colorful knit hat lying around. (We don’t clean up much. We’re too busy being awesome.) On this particular day, I didn’t ask her permission because she wasn’t home yet, but I was wearing this on a date so I figured she should have no complaints that I stole her hat in order to look more adorable. (She didn’t.)
