Seeing as how yesterday was freezing and snowy here in Indianapolis, it seems like an appropriate time to flash back to more temperate times. This was the last outfit I wore on my Florida Christmas vacation. I rewore these jeans and boots from my Day 1 outfit – I had to conserve suitcase space for all the generous gifts I got from Kristin and her family. They seriously know how to spoil a girl. I think I married into the right family 🙂

Normal people go out and buy a new outfit for a special occasion like a wedding, a job interview, or…I don’t know…New Year’s Eve. But I am not normal people. I buy new outfits for random Tuesdays or for no reason at all, and I build a NYE outfit out of a bunch of old stuff. But hey, I already had this sequin dress, and how many opportunities will I have to wear it? I thought about getting some new sequins for NYE, but my worn-out, post-Christmas wallet looked at me pathetically and whispered “please…no.”

I guess I should thank my sad little wallet because I love this outfit! It was fun and the leather jacket was a good way to make the dress a little less fancy and more weather-appropriate. And in case you’re wondering, I celebrated responsibly, eating an amazing meal at The Northside Social, then having a couple drinks and playing board games with friends until midnight.
