I’m sitting here watching the Golden Globes, and this outfit is starting to look a little less fabulous in comparison. But when I wore it Friday night, I did feel pretty fabulous.

I got these over-the-knee boots a few weeks ago (bandwagon: on it) but that was before my Florida vacation (too hot for boots) and the big snowstorm back at home (too messy for boots this nice). So finally! Here they are! It’s kind of blowing my mind how long my legs look in these babies (and they’re flat). Do I use too many parentheses? (Probably.)

I hope you like these boots because I wore them again on Saturday, so you’ll be seeing those photos soon. By the way, today is the FIRST day of my LAST semester of law school, so wish me luck!

I’m far from a poetry buff, but I have loved Dorothy Parker since high school. I guess I’m just a sucker for intelligent, sarcastic women; they’re everything I strive to be. I’m also a sucker for Kate Spade, so when Kate first came out with a line of stuff featuring DP quotes, it was like winning the lottery. Except when you win the lottery, you get a bunch of free money, and Kate Spade is definitely not free. I couldn’t convince myself to spend my own money, but imagine my giddiness when many months later, my favorite wife surprised me with this bag for Christmas! She also got me a copy of The Portable Dorothy Parker (that I can carry around in my new bag! hooray!), which I highly recommend if you want to check out my girl DP. It’s all poems and short stories, so you can read a little or a lot at one time. Plus the cover is really cute.
