When: Sept. 25 // Weather: warm // Real life: work
I know everyone has experienced the “I have nothing to wear!” problem, but anyone else experience the “I have too much to wear” problem on a regular basis? I mentioned this in my 30×30 remix recap, but sometimes I feel overwhelmed by the number of things in my closet to the point that it makes it hard to just pick out a freaking outfit already.
How to fix this First World Problem? Well, there’s one really obvious way, but no one’s talking to you, Marie Kondo.
The more palatable option for clotheshorses like me is to have a few “fallback” outfit formulas that I’ll always be in the mood to wear. In mild weather, this is one of my favorites for work: comfy pants, striped tee, blazer, and ballet flats. It has that very French “I’m not trying too hard” je ne sais quoi thing going on, and unless you’re an idiot with a blog like me, no one has to know that you stared blankly at your vast closet for 20 minutes before putting it on.
