Controlling the Weather

Yesterday was nice and toasty, all the way up in the mid 20s! As you can see, I got a little braver than yesterday and went outside, but I didn’t get quite brave enough to take my coat all the way off.

There was supposed to be a chance for snow showers all day, so I prepared by wearing my rain boots with fleece socks. And of course there was not a single flake. I know they say you can’t control the weather, but in my experience you can. For example, if there’s a chance of snow, the best way to keep it from snowing is to wear footwear appropriate for snow. If I had worn suede flats, there would have been a blizzard I’m sure.

Thanks to everyone who helped me out by taking the survey I posted yesterday. I’ve put a lot of work and thought into this blog over its relatively short life, so it’s nice to find out whether what I’m doing is resonating with people. And of course thanks for the support and encouragement you’ve been giving me all along: all the comments, tweets, likes, follows, or just plain old reading. You sure know how to make a girl feel special.

I’m keeping the survey open indefinitely so if you didn’t get a chance yet, please take a minute (literally one minute) to give me your feedback.

This was my outfit from Monday, the first day of class in the new semester. I decided to open with a bang: an orange sequin sweater and matching orange lip.
