Despite what the name of the store suggests, you cannot be 21 forever. I don’t go in there very often, because I find that the older I get, the more sensitive I become to cheap crap. That said, Forever 21 isn’t totally worthless, even to me. It’s the easiest place for me to find cozy sweaters. See, I’m mildly allergic to wool – I don’t break out in hives or anything, but if I wear it for more than 5 minutes I’ll start scratching myself like a meth addict.
As much as I love shopping for fall and winter clothes at stores like J. Crew, it’s always such a letdown when I see a beautiful pile of perfectly folded sweaters in a rainbow of colors, I reach out to pick one up, and I recoil in horror. WHY YOU GOTTA BE SO FANCY WITH YOUR MERINO AND CASHMERE?!
You know where you don’t find merino and cashmere? Forever 21. That place is a haven of synthetic fabrics year-round. Aaaahhh, acrylic. How my sensitive skin loves you.
