I’m fully aware this sweater is not flattering on me. It doesn’t look bad, but it definitely doesn’t cast my bod in the best possible light either. But I don’t care. It’s chunky and comfy and soft and I like the color. You know how they say you have to learn the rules of something before you can break them? I’m pretty sure I have a handle on the rules of dressing at this point, so this is me breaking them. The Mauve Rebellion: you heard it here first.

essie gel polish review

You might have heard buzz about these new gel polishes that you use at home (not the fancy gel nail process you get at a salon). I tried Essie’s version and was really impressed with my first use (this color is “Pinned Up“). The photo above was taken on day 10! It lasted 3 more days before I got a noticeable chip.

…So I tried another color (“Model Chicks“), but my luck was not as great with this one. It started looking messy after about a week. But it could just be that flaws are more noticeable with a darker color. Still – I recommend the Essie gel polishes!
