Happy Fri-DAYYYY! On Thursday night I started to watch Scandal, then realized I missed last week’s episode. And then I realized I missed the week before that! Man, October was busy (but great). So I had to change the channel. Then I remembered I also have all these daily outfit photos I’ve posted on Instagram but not on the blog. Again…I’m busy. Anyway, I decided to devote this week’s Scandal-watching energy to blogging, and maybe this weekend I’ll watch 3 episodes in a row. I just stocked up on red wine, so I’m all set.

Yes, this is two posts in a row featuring a velvet something-or-other. And I did actually wear them back-to-back in real life. I might not get on board with every trend (ain’t nobody over 25 got time for that), but when I really like one, I’m all in. I feel like this combination of shapes and fabrics is equal parts frumpy and chic, which pretty much sums me up.
