Guys. I survived my 6-week shopping ban, and the 2020-21 winter. I celebrated with a little bit of shopping and a lot of frolicking in the puddles of melted snow. And wine, obvi.

We’ve had a week of sun and things are starting to look up. Even started doing some tentative travel planning which has felt like a far-off dream for so long. A huge thank you to everyone who has gotten their COVID-19 vaccine – you are helping and giving hope to the rest of us who are waiting for our turn!

Life plan: Work until I pay off my law school loans (approx. 1000 years from now), retire to Paris, be a fabulous expat eating croissants and producing mediocre watercolors until I run out of money, then become a crazy old lady who lives in a teepee made from her own clothes and feeds animals in le parc.

Basically I will be the bird lady from Mary Poppins. And this is what I will wear. (Dress for the job you want.)

P.S. Ever notice that white people who move to another country are “expats” and non-white people are “immigrants”? How convenient. Looking forward to positive change in the next 4 years.
