I finally jumped on the Sole Society bandwagon with these adorable “Celine” shoes. I love how from the front they’re like “Oh, hey, I’m just a simple pair of shoes…no big deal…” and then from the back they’re like “BAM! I have a chartreuse heel! You didn’t see that coming, did you?” (A lot of my clothes talk to me. I’m like a wardrobe whisperer.)

In case you haven’t heard of or ordered from Sole Society, it’s one of those sites where you have to be a “member,” but you don’t have to give a credit card number (until you purchase, obviously), and you can opt out of e-mails so they don’t bug you. I’m happy with my first purchase, so I’m sure I’ll make more. If you’re interested in seeing the selection, sign up here.

Hope everyone’s enjoying the end of 2012! Take THAT, Mayans!

Man, it feels like so long since my last outfit post! Don’t lie…you’ve missed me. I know it. I really have been wearing clothes this week, I’ve just been taking some time off to relax on my Christmas vacation. But I thought I’d take a moment to show you what I wore on my travel day Monday. A long chambray and leggings is nothing crazy, but it was great for the plane and infinitely better looking than a velour sweatsuit.

The most exciting part of this outfit was the SHOES! I am a big Tory Burch fan, so when Megan of Chic for a Week offered to let me try a free rental, I obviously couldn’t refuse. If you’re familiar with Bag, Borrow or Steal or Rent the Runway, Chic for a Week is the same idea but for shoes! They have a small but growing selection of great designer shoes that you can wear for a week at a fraction of the cost of buying retail. My shoes arrived very quickly and came with a return UPS label already printed out (which is awesome, because shipping things is the worst). To learn more about Chic for a Week, see the FAQ page on their website. It’s a great idea if you have a special occasion coming up!

Here’s me posing in front of the tree in the lobby at Indianapolis International Airport on Christmas Eve before our flight.

…And here I am having a little holiday cocktail on our layover. What can I say? I’m festive.
