If you’ve seen or heard the term “winter white” recently and you’ve wondered how it differs from regular white, allow me to explain. (I’m a #fashion blogger, so I know about these things.)

~White is the color of linen pants, whereas winter white is the color of a cable knit sweater.

~White is what a June bride wears, whereas winter white is what a December bride wears.

~White is the color of fresh daisies, whereas winter white is the color of freshly fallen snow.

~White says “I love Paris in the springtime,” whereas winter white says “I love skiing in Aspen.”

In other words, white and winter white…are the same f#@&ing color. If you want to wear winter white, just wear something white in the winter. These are the same jeans I wore several times during the summer with bright colors and breezy tops, and now I’m wearing it with plaid and quilted jackets. Winter white. I’m so trendy.

P.S. The beautiful, stately scene behind me is the campus of my alma mater, Indiana University, the most awesome school in the whole world. IU looks equally beautiful in white AND winter white.

Wanna Do Some Holiday Shopping for Free? {Giveaway Time!}

holiday giveaway, redbubble giveaway, gift ideas 2014, unique gifts 2014

T-Shirt // Tote Bag // Print // Phone Case // Mug // Card

A giveaway?! For 50 whole dollars?! It’s a Christmas miracle!

That’s right. Call me Santa, because I’m going to give someone $50 to buy unique gifts for her loved ones (or for herself). Well, technically Redbubble is the one who was nice enough to sponsor this giveaway, but I arranged the whole thing and made this nifty collage, so I’m like Mrs. Claus or an elf or Rudolph or something.

Redbubble is this super nifty marketplace where you can buy tons of different products featuring designs from artists all over the world. There are so many options, it’s mind-boggling. No matter what your taste is, I can pretty much guarantee there’s a design on Redbubble you will love. Then you can get that design printed on clothing, tote bags, mugs, prints, blankets, phone cases…just to name a few. You’ve seen me wear a shirt from Redbubble here and a tote bag here. The prices are very reasonable, too. A women’s t-shirt is around $25, a baby’s onesie or a throw pillow is around $20, and a mug will run you about $15. And the best part is: you probably won’t ever run in to anyone else with the same t-shirt/onesie/pillow/mug as you. I mean…the person who receives the gift you buy them won’t…right.

Now that I’ve convinced you that Redbubble is worth your attention, enter to win the $50 gift card through the widget below! Redbubble ships internationally, so anyone can enter. You have until the end of the month, and there are lots of ways to enter. Good luck, and may the random person win!
