Earlier this month, I put away all of my boots, just like I do every spring. My feet get sweaty just thinking about being that enclosed in the warmer months. But I decided to carry these perforated peep-toe booties over to the new season. I figure they have built-in air conditioning. I still don’t know that I’ll wear them much more once we get into summer proper, but at least now I can say I wore them once this spring. For whatever reason, I want to wear boots/booties every damn day from September through March, and then the appeal disappears suddenly when the sun comes back out.

What are your thoughts on wearing boots in the spring? Bear the heat for the sake of fashion, or save them for fall? (I’m not going to change my mind based on your comments…starting a dialogue is just what the friendly bloggers do, so I figured I’d give it a shot.)

Budgeting Bloggers: May

May Budget Breakdown

Not a ton of spending this month, by Sarah standards anyway. It’s partly because I’ve been too busy to shop. I had a decent amount of blog income this month, but I didn’t spend all of it. I plan on saving the excess for a special purpose next month – stay tuned!

My Budget

  • ~$456 (blog income)
  • ~$25 (returned something I bought last month)

       = $481

What I Spent

       = $281 (total retail value $426)
